The Chinese National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) will spend $30 Billion Dollars to drill oil at the vicinity of Spratly Islands. CNOOC expect to generate some 500 Million Barrels of oil by year 2020 or make around $50 Billion Dollars a year.
The Spratlys is just 125 miles near Palawan and is at least 582 miles away from China! China’s claim on the Spratlys was based on an ancient map made during the Han Dynasty circa 110 AD ( the same age as the ancient Roman Empire ) Spratlys was known then as Nansha Islands and the Philippines as Mayi.
To enforce their claim on those oil rich island groups, China has now engaged in a MIGHT is RIGHT Gunboat Diplomacy. US Pinoys for Good Governance found another old Chinese map dated 1904 but this one did not include the Spratly Islands as part of Chinese territory.
NOW, Let us bring our case directly to ALL GOD Fearing People around the world “WE WANT TO PETITION CHINA FOR A JUST, A PEACEFUL AND RIGHTEOUS RESOLUTION OF OUR CLAIMS ON THE SPRATLYS.
