Hay naku, ang mga anti-RH kuno walang ginawa kundi ibahin ang paksa, tsss, dito natin makikita kung talagang malaya na tayo sa mga DAMASO na umalipin sa atin for 300+ years. We don’t need surveys, we need science to prove the status of our country. Not biblical references ( no offense to religious people). All religions are equally bad for society. They stiff free-thinking! Only a moron like Senator Sotto would believe such garbage.
Do you know why the Philippines always have economic crisis especially in the labor sector? Because of the rapid population, you cannot prevent two couples from having sex even if they already have 5 kids. Eventually this will lead to another pregnancy, RH bill is not an abortion bill, its for the safety of the woman’s health and family thru correct information about family planning and its alternatives, and provide young ones the knowledge about the “birds and the bees” so they can prevent teen pregnancy if they engage to such act. The parents are supposedly the ones that should educate them but that is not happening because even the parents do not know how to properly educate their children.
If you have a rapid growth in population the government also needs to provide rapid increase in job opening. But since the govenment cannot sustain the rapid increase for job openings (especially with the less educated people) with the rapid growth of people needed to work, this will resort to a lot of unemployment. The poor people and less educated are the ones most affected which will eventually (to some) result to crime like stealing and the likes just to survive. If there’s less people with no jobs the economy will be stonger and criminality will be lessen.
RH bill helps women, parents and young adults to control or at least minimize those unwanted pregnancies, proper size of family, and healthcare, this bill will help family to better themselves and provide better quality living not only for them but also for their children and in turn will help the country to have a stronger economy.
The RH Bill is not just about population control, but sexual health promotion. It is also for the control of sexual infections. Never kong narinig sa balita about sa HIV, or any statistics about sexual diseases. Saka yes population is growing not just in the Philippines but the whole world. The stability of population growth will come, this is just a small means to control that rise.
Yet this person, …..Hindi ko talaga ma-gets ang pinaglalaban nya. He has reinvented himself as the anti-RH champion whereas before he was the anti-Drugs champion. Yet he was embroiled in one of the hottest political scandals involving a senator in post-Marcos history. I am referring to the scandal involving the close ties between Sotto and suspected drug lord Alfredo Tiongco.
The bigotry is strong on this one. Congratulations to the Bigote, este, Bigot of the Year! So strong, napamura ako ng WOW! Parangalan natin si TITO SOTTO bilang pinakamahusay na komedyate sa senado! Mabuhay siya! Isa siyang Pinoy Henyo!
Sotto’s analogy is below par talaga. Grabe! This senator Sotto is out of context to comprehend the logical argument of senator Santiago. Never would I want Sotto to represent me in the senate. Unluckily, majority ang bakya crowd sa atin.
He’s definitely lost it. Power seems to drive people to do anything just to keep it. Classic Pinoy story, starts as a hero and ends up a villain.
What hasn’t changed with Sotto is the way he uses issues for his own personal ends.
Ang tubero, gumagawa ng tubo. Ang bumbero pumapatay ng sunog. Kaya wag na kayong magtaka kung magpatawa man ang isang komedyante. Si Tito Sotto naman kasi e. Nirerespeto ko siyang komedyante sa Pinoy movies at sa TV kapag Eat Bulaga na. Hanggang sa Senado nirerespeto ko pa din syang komedyante. Kung hindi lang mahilig bumoto sa mga artista ang mga Pilipino ay hindi magiging senador yan korning komedyante na yan. Pasalamat siya at madaming uneducated na voters. Pero mukhang na EAT BULAGA ang boto ng mga bobong Pilipinong bumoto sa kanya.
Ang mga pinakabobo sa pamahalaan ay mga dating sikat na celebrities. Bakit sila binoboto? Nasanay na ang mga Pinoy na kung kilala at sikat akala nila sila ang karapat-dapat maglingkod sa bayan. Kaya hanggang ngayon di pa umaansenso ang Pilipinas at mas lalo pang maraming naghihirap. Marami nga ang nakakapag-abroad pero mas lalong maraming walang trabaho sa maling patakaran ng pamahalaan.
Ang daming nabubuntis na mahihirap, karamihan pa ay kabataan dahil walang sapat na edukasyon about safe sex, birth control. End up is massacre, di nila alam na mas marami ang nagpapa-abort dahil sa kagaguhan na yan, at kahirapan, try nila pumunta sa mga mahihirap na lugar, ang mga pamilya dun, mababa na ang limang anak sa kanila kahit wala silang malamon o matirahan. Di sila na eeducate ng maigi kung paano mag control.
Para sa mga anti-RH, isa lang ibig sabihin niyan they don’t care kung maraming nagugutom at naghihirap sa Pilipinas. Both church and state don’t care lalo na iyong mga nasa puwesto na. Paanong may makokolekta kung kakaunti ang tao? The more, the merrier!
Ang mahihirap kasi doesn’t have the luxury of the affluent society like Sotto’s and his wife Helen Gamboa who can afford the inconvenience if ever dumami rin ang anak. But fortunately, they can well take care of their four children – or kung dumami pa man.
The real problem is, Sotto doesn’t want to jeopardize his public image especially with the Catholic church so the result will be more children living on the streets! Madami kasi takot mawala ang boto ng Catholic church kaya ayaw nila ipasa. Hypocracy at its best!
The anti-RH members of government, people and the Catholic church are so HYPOCRITE of this birth control thing. They keep on saying that abstinence is the solution to proper birth spacing. The point is, have you transpired people to abstain in making babies? Thus outgrowing our population resulting to the scarcity of our resources! Hay naku, Juan de la Cruz, gumising ka! or else our government should act on this. If the people can’t do their part responsibly, then its the role of our government to enact a measure to protect its people, after all its our government who runs and manage our system!
Pero maganda nga ba ang image ni Tito Sen? For the younger generation, hindi nyo kasi naabutan ang istorya niya regarding the Pepsi Paloma incident. Let us not forget about Tito Sotto’s involvement in the Pepsi Paloma and Guada Guarin 1982 rape scandal. Given Sotto’s pivotal role in making sure that the rape case against his brother, Vic, and two of his friends, Joey de Leon and Richie D’Horsey, would never see the light of day, a case which carried the death penalty then, who wouldn’t be surprised by the braggadocio Sotto displays against the RH bill (which espouses women’s rights) now?
OK lang naman ang RH Bill. Ang panget lang ay huwag sana sa mga mayayaman na negosyanteng mapagsamantala na naman mapupunta ang pera ng Pilipino. Sigurado naman na foreigners na businessmen ang kikita diyan eh. It is also not true that the people behind the RH bill have been paid by pharmaceutical companies, because they are also the people behind the cheaper drugs bill (or act). Anyway, that’s not the point. Because if that is, we also have a lot to say about people who don’t like the bill. What’s important is accessibility to information, to education, to services that will COMPREHENSIVELY address reproductive health.
Tama na nga iyang arte na yan!! Ipasa na ang RH Bill! Our country needs it, and no more further explanation. Mabuburyo lang tayo sa pagtatalo-talo kung ano ang mas importante. Hindi porke’t sinabi sa bibliya eh magpakarami tayo eh literal nating iintindihin yun. Hindi krimen ang paggamit ng condom, mas krimen kong maituturing yung batang sinilang ay magdudusa sa gutom at mamatay dahil sa hirap ng buhay. Ipasa niyo na lang at wala ng magpapa-pogi tutal kayo mismong mga halal ng bayan ay matagal ng pina-practice yang birth control. Kung ayaw niyo talaga ipasa yan yung Pork barrel niyo ipamigay niyo na lang lahat sa poorest of the poor dito sa Pilipinas para mapakinabangan.

Your blog said it all. There are side effects of contraceptive pills but contraception is a choice to solve our ballooning population actually one of the highest in Asia. If Sotto is a real campaigner to protect women from the harmful effects of contraception, why doesnt he just campaign for anti-smoking. Many people are dying of cancer.
there would be natural contraceptives…indigenous people have used them for eons…we should research and present to the masses….we can’t have a better standard of living if we can’t feed ourselves, let alone our children who require to be fed, clothed and educated….it will only perpetuate a vicious cycle…
